Leeds city centre will be the subject of a number of road works over the following weeks.
Resurfacing work affecting The Headrow and Eastgate will be a combination of preparations for the Tour de France as well as programmed maintenance.
To minimise disruption in the busy city centre work is being carried out overnight.
It will begin at 7pm each night from Monday 12 May and last until 5.30am the following morning.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday 23 May and will not take place on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
The areas affected are:
• Cookridge Street to Albion Street (eastbound and westbound)
• Albion Street to Vicar Lane (eastbound only)
• Vicar Lane to Eastgate Roundabout (eastbound only)
Associated road closures will also be in place with all vehicles, including buses and taxis, being diverted.
Many services will be diverted away from The Headrow, Eastgate, Vicar Lane and Albion Street.
A temporary stop will be in place on Great George Street, while other services will call at stops on Boar Lane and Vicar Lane during the work.
Up-to-date information about this and other diversions to bus or train services can be found on Metro’s web site at www.wymetro.com.
