The date and ticket information for this Classical Fantasia at Kirkstall Abbey have been announced.
The open-air classical music performance in the grounds of the 12th century abbey offers a unique spectacle due to its fantasy-inspired music, stunning fireworks and breathtaking setting.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday 1 September with gates scheduled to open from 6pm and the main performance starting from approximately 8pm.
Organised by Leeds City Council, Classical Fantasia is now in its 17th year and will once again feature music provided by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia accompanied by spectacular illumination of the abbey ruins and electrifying fireworks. The event is also supported this year by new media partners Magic 828.
Tickets for this year’s Classical Fantasia are now available priced at £7.50 for LEEDSCard holders, £6.50 for LEEDSCard Extra holders and £5 for Breezecard holders. General admission is £10 or £35 for four tickets for small group bookings of family/friends.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.leeds.gov.uk/fantasia or in person or by telephone from City Centre Box Office in The Carriageworks on Millennium Square (0113 224 3801) and Leeds Visitor Centre at Leeds Train Station (0113 242 5242). Tickets are also available to purchase in person only from the Abbey House Museum.
A special discounted ticket package for those wishing to attend both Classical Fantasia and the forthcoming Opera in the Park event at Temple Newsam on Saturday 21 July are also available to purchase this year from the City Centre Box Office or Leeds Visitor Centre only.
