Start the day with a traditional farmhouse breakfast with a twist at Temple Newsam’s Home Farm at the end of January.

National Farmhouse breakfast week runs from Tuesday 25th –Sunday 31st January 2010 and involves events across the UK, with Home Farm showing off it’s rare breed breakfast for a fortnight between Tuesday 19th- Sunday 31st January.

Temple Newsam Home Farm has a brilliant breakfast with a difference for your plate. The Stable Tea Room will offer the rare-breed breakfast, with meat sourced from the Farm, everyday excluding Mondays, from 9.00-11.30am.

The menu consists of Rare Breed Pork Sausage from Temple Newsam's Home Farm's Tamworth pigs, Rindless Middle back Bacon, Yorkshire Black pudding, Fresh Button Mushrooms, Grilled Fresh Tomato, Fried Egg, White/Brown Toast and also includes a pot of tea for one or cup of coffee all for £4.25.

Leeds City Council executive member for Leisure Councillor John Procter said:
“National Farmhouse breakfast fortnight is a great way to let people sample some of the rare breed meat that is nurtured from Home Farm at Temple Newsam. The breakfasts are brilliant, and a really tasty way to start the day.”
