Young people looking for something different to do this summer need to get to Breeze on Tour at Armley Park where, for one week only, they will be able to try out fresh and funky new ‘green’ workshops.

At the fourth Breeze on Tour of the summer young people will be able to try out lots of new things and also learn how to turn recycled materials into new useful items and then carry on creating when they get home!

So if they want to ‘pimp their granny’s vinyl’ or turn their old threads into the latest fashion accessory then they need to go along to Armley Park on Wednesday 12 August and Thursday 13 August to try out this week’s new activities.

For those who would prefer to take in the entertainment the Performance Marquee is the place to be with spectacular performances in the Breeze Has Talent semi finals.

People who want to learn some new moves can go straight from Breeze to Bollywood with the Bhangra dance workshops or try a bit of breakdancing with Breakers Unify, who return to carry on the positive messages about Hip Hop culture.

The Sports and Challenge Zones will see the return of the Breeze Olympic Challenge. Young people who enter the challenge will be in with a chance of winning a mountain bike (all prizes donated by Edinburgh Cycle Cooperative, Chapel Allerton).

Children and young people aged 8 to 18 can just turn up with their Breezecard and can get in for free at every location on every day. There's a whole load of different activities including dancing, arts and crafts, music, football, giant inflatables, DJing, movie making, performances from international and local artists and bands, competitions …and so much more. If people can’t make it to Breeze on Tour they could try one of the mini Breeze events – it’s just like Breeze on Tour only a little bit smaller!

All Breeze on Tour events take place between 12 noon and 5pm, the last few events of the summer are as follows:
Wed 12th August - Thu 13th August Armley Park
Wed 19th August - Thu 20th August Kirkstall Abbey
